CDBKA runs a beginners course each spring for people wishing to learn about bees or to get an introduction to the ancient craft of beekeeping. The course usually begins early in February and consists of a series of lectures follow by practical sessions in the association apiary in Rathfarnham Dublin 16.
The course caters for those who wish to discover the wonders of the honey bee and learn more the complex life cycle of this most important insect. It also introduces people to the skills and craft associated with bee husbandry. It provides many with a lifelong passion and an addictive hobby in beekeeping.
